do you think the actions im taking are okay :O?

by iliveisl

Question by Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄ƷAMBER ADDICTIONƸ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ™: do you think the actions im taking are okay :O?
okay so to make a long story short

here’s what happened

my yard is fenced in and it has about 4 tree’s and it’s not that large, or not to small,

i wen’t in my backyard, and saw one baby chinchilla it was an pink-white one.and one that looked a little older it was a standard gray, so i was like… what are these domesticated chinchilla’s doing in my yard, ( at this point im like my gate is locked, it must have took someone to throw them over the fence). or their good jumper’s.
so i captured them , put them in a box
i already have to female’s , and determined they we’re to in fact female’s, i wasn’t going to put them in the cage with my other’s they could have disease’s , so i noticed a leg band with a number , this was strange to me, i’ve never seen this i called it, and it was a breeder, they both had number’s next to the phone number i told this man i found two chinchilla’s and told him the number’s he told me they belonged to a woman by the name of chesla sanchez , and he told me her address , or he said he could just take them and care for them.
i said no, i asked for the the woman’s number,
at first i was like the address is familiar but the name isn’t
so i called and it turn’s out she’s a woman two blocks from me i advised her i found her chinchilla’s unharmed she said ” you we’re the only neighbor with a safe enough yard so i threw them back there”
i was like ” … what…?”
she goes ” i don’t want them im sick of caring for them i’ve had locy the grey one for 4 months, shes about 6 month’s now and riley for a week now, shes 2 month’s about,”
i said ” why didnt you just bring them to shelter?”
she responded with excuses , and we chatted.
she later brought over a cage
IT WAS DISGUSTING.
i have no idea why someone would put paper as liter
no dust bath and a bowl with water in it and some cherrio’s
as food.
the cage was the size of a cage you would travel in
for 1 chinchilla.
so i’ve already went to pet smart and spent about $ 250.00 in cash on a cage and some toy’s for them
and i have already brought them to the emergency vet,
just encase they have anything
the vet noticed some fur missing and the 2 month old’s ear was bitten up , so he just told me to put neosporion on it and it’s good.
and they had some constipation.

and so i got them their toy’s,cage, dust bath, water bottle, and food dishes.

i bought them a four level cage – and it seemed they we’re amazed she probably never let them out.
their all set up, i’m not rich and i wanted to give them to a shelter but i felt so bad, im kinda tight with money because of all this, but i rent a apartment from my parent’s house they said they’ll give me a break for a few month’s,
so what i think i’m going to do is have the veterinarian testify in court for animal cruelty, and endangering the animal’s they we’re left their to die and she mistreated them while under her care,
I’m also going to call animal control on her.
she claim’s she didn’t want them because they we’re to much work but later in the conversation she states ” i’m starting a rat breeding business”.
so do you think the actions im taking are okay?
any suggestions?
any thing else you would do?
that’s very true i’m going to go have her sign a paper .

:p

thanks for the other awnser to.
yeah, but i’ve become attached , their are no ,

no-kill shelter’s we’re i live
their’s only one high kill shelter the “nycacc”

and plus, because of their condition they’d be put down once they get into the shelter.

and if i give them away once i’m even more attached i’d be a wreck.

i mean i have left over money but i could use some extra.
to jb,

i want justice for them, i don’t want to just leave it because there “JUST ANIMALS”.

treat the abuse as if it was a human.

and, by tight i men’t i could use some extra money, but i have enough. – sorry i didnt explain like that .

and i can use my parent’s lawyer.

I would have her sign a paper stating that she is giving you the chinchilla’s before you call anyone so she can not force you to give them back.

Here’s a shocker for you … martial arts are about survival.  Yep, that’s right.  The purpose of martial arts is to have the skill and knowledge to be able to do in the bad guy and still make it home in time to walk the dog.  Martial arts are not some trendy type of workout designed to
impress the ladies as you tell them about the tournaments or trophies you’ve won.  While it certainly is an awesome total-body workout and a great way to get in shape many students really give little thought to its ultimate purpose; survival.

Let’s talk self-defense. I was one of the co-founders of the United Karate Institute of Self-Defense, Inc. in Alexandria, Virginia. Three other instructors, my wife (also a black belt) and I decided that we had met way too many highly ranked black belts who had earned numerous
trophies in sport karate competition. They were champions and winners and knew all the tricks in the ring to be able to score points and come home with the large gleaming plastic and marble trophies.  Sounds great doesn’t it. Except for one small problem, virtually every one of these black belt “champions”  did not possess even the most basic skills or knowledge of how to defend themselves against even a single assailant, much less multiple assailants. What’s up with that?

They’re black belts. They should be able to leap over tall buildings, outrun bullets, stop a speeding train and run between the raindrops! Right? No, but it certainly seems to the average person that a black belt must be nearly indestructible and probably possesses some almost
mystical power and knowledge. Wrong again. If you are not trained properly with a real emphasis on self-defense and street application of martial arts techniques then you are merely mimicking movements from your instructor.

If you’re a black belt and you can’t even defend your way out of a wet paper bag then what have you spent all of those years doing?  Let me say it again, martial arts are about survival. It’s not about phony point-sparring competition where the only techniques you can use in the ring are things you would never dream of using on the street and where the most effective techniques from the street are not allowed in the ring.

When you study martial arts it’s not all just punching and kicking, you must learn about many qualities of humanity, both positive and negative because your brain is your ultimate survival tool. Ultimately, at its core, is the need to survive; be it on the streets of New York City,
the jungles of Asia, the deserts of the Middle East or even a hostile business climate. To survive combat and harsh environments, you the martial artist must have many skills and have developed many physical and character qualities. In order to survive, you must improve
yourself beyond your current abilities. However, remember the best warrior is not warlike, but is able to summon the warrior spirit within when it is required.

Preparing to Survive: Adaptability and Versatility

Survival requires adaptability, which is the ability to respond rapidly, effectively and without confusion to changing stimuli. These stimuli can be different training conditions. They can be new techniques, styles of martial arts, weapons or changes in lighting, temperature, speed,
distance, surface, or any other attribute of your environment.

To survive, welcome change by varying your training. The more you do this, the better equipped you are to adapt effectively, because you are always doing it. Many martial arts systems have training sessions where their students practice their martial arts in the rain, snow, mud, swamps and other rough and difficult terrain. In this manner students learn to be aware of

There may come a time when you face an emergency or natural disaster and find yourself unable to sleep at your house. These tips for emergency shelter and sleep are designed to help you prepare and gather the supplies needed in case this eventuality should occur to you and your family. Solar blanket really is a must. Folks who venture out into the great outdoors and the camp will be better prepared for their emergency supplies. Yet, in addition to an emergency solar bags, blankets and covers, you will also consider an air mattresses, pop up canopies, flashlights, and other creature comforts and needs. />
solar products not only keep you warm in a pinch, but if you leave your car on a hot day you can use solar blanket to deflect the sun and keep your car cooler by putting it in the window that the sun is directly hitting. In the case of extreme cold, a solar blanket can keep you warm by storing your own body temperature. Just wrap yourself up in the silver blanket and let it almost magical properties keep you warm and toasty. />
Many of the supplies needed for a good emergency shelter and sleeping plans can be folded up, sunken or otherwise stored space efficiently. A good idea is to keep the very least a solar blanket or two and some flashlights in the trunk of your car or truck. You never know when you might need them and they take up very little room. An air mattress and a pump to inflate it can make the difference between a good night’s sleep or tossing and turning on a hard surface like the ground or floor of the emergency shelter’s. />
A good point to remember when considering your emergency shelter and sleeping needs are that you can not predict where you will have to seek shelter. It may be that you’ll find yourself out in nature and things like solar blankets and flashlights and rain gear are particularly important. Pop up privacy tent canopies and deluxe rooms are also available. If you find yourself seeking shelter in an emergency shelter after a natural disaster, you will want pillow and blanket and an air mattress or pop up bed for maximum comfort in your time of distress. Preparing in advance is always the best plan.

Natural Disasters Are Still Disasters

Hello Everyone.  It seems to me like we spend a lot of time preparing for disaster–nuclear war, biological warfare, epidemics, governmental collapse, “end of times” disasters, etc.  I am unsure, however, if we spend enough time preparing for natural disasters–disasters this planet has experienced since its beginning–and disasters that we too, as a race, have experienced.  Things like tornadoes, hurricanes, blizzards, earthquakes, tsunamis, wildfires, and other such natural disasters.

I fear that oftentimes we are too focused on what might happen and not what has happened in the past and will most definitely happen again in the future.

The reason I bring this all up is because the area where I live, the greater Raleigh, NC area, experienced severe weather this past Saturday–66 separate tornadoes were counted just in our area in the span of a few hours.  Some people lost their lives, many more experienced injuries and property damage.  The Lowes Home Improvement Store in Sanford, NC was leveled…I mean LEVELED. Driving around the next day and looking at photos online, I realize just how lucky I was.

I think it’s important for us to remember that disasters come in all shapes and sizes.  It’s just as important to prepare for disasters Mother Nature dishes out to us on a pretty routine basis as it is to prepare for chemical or biological warfare.  I know, I know, the thought of a hurricane or blizzard is not as exciting as the thought of chemical warfare of governmental collapse, but survival is survival, and death is death, and death by natural disaster is just as permanent as death by man-made disaster.

Questions about KRS-One?

Question by Craftsman :? Questions about KRS-One
Why do people always say that “KRS is influential … but he has no skill” or “KRS contributed to hip hop, but his Discography sucks”. Return of Boom Bap, KRS-One, I Got Next, Survival Skills … How is his Discography not good? And he does have skills on the mic. He is very good at the non technical aspects of rapping like flow and delivery, but he also had good lyrical content, and a message in his song. Why do not people realize KRS-One is not only a pioneer, but also a good MC, with lots of good albums? @ Samurai MC: You agree that her Discography is not all that great? How are you agree? I’m not saying it IS great. And KRS-One’s Discography is WAY better than Rakim’s IMO. Best answer:

Dehydrated Banana Chips Dried Bananas Dehydrating Bananas by Stephanie @ efooddehydrator.com

Hi, It’s me and now I am dehydrating banana chips. These are healthy, great for snacking and oh so easy to make. I started by peeling the bananas, and slicing them about 1/4″ thick. I then placed them on my Excalibur tray and spread them out, about 1″ apart from each other. I then dehydrated them for about 10-12 hours. They turned out great! My husband and 2 boys absolutely love them. Great for snacking, but you better dehydrate a lot, because they will not last! Please see us at efooddehydrator.com or on eBay under our username stephaniejw. Thank you for watching!
